This forest green teardrop Grenadine woven bow has a luxurious "Garza" woven pattern. The silk is woven in Como Italy & the bow is made and finished in the Salerno region of Italy.
Grenadine is luxurious silk that’s comparatively delicate, which creates fabrics that hang, move, look, and feel different. The weave pattern is created similarly to gauze, using a jacquard loom. This creates a weave that's open and light but stable, with a bit of stretch.

The bow tie originated among Croatian mercenaries during the Thirty Years’ War of the 17th century. The Croat mercenaries used a scarf around the neck to hold together the opening of their shirt, this was soon adopted (under the name cravat, derived from the French for “Croat“) by the upper classes in France, then a leader in fashion, and flourished in the 18th and 19th centuries.
